16 - 17 year olds are welcome on any of our courses but we have a few courses each year for 16 - 17s only.
We fully encourage all under 18s to take the lead in the booking process with us as part of taking responsibility for their own development
Of course, parental permission is required and we will have dialogue with both parties.

5 days in The Cairngorms with a Winter Mountain Theme. This could be suitable as a Gold DofE Residential
9am Monday to 5pm Friday. Based in Aviemore
We can help with transport from Aviemore Station and can help you find self catering accommodation available from Sunday eve. We can reserve bunkhouse accommodation for you but you will need to pay them directly. Accommodation cost for week around £100. All transport for the course is included as is specialist equipment such as boots, axes, crampons, helmets, harnesses, ropes and ski googles

1 Days Mountaineering - Ratio 1 : 2 or 1 : 3
2 Days Winter Climbing - Usually Multi-pitch - Ratio 1 : 2
All our instructors for this week will hold the Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor which covers all aspects of Climbing and Mountaineering in winter conditions in the UK and is the highest of all the Mountain Training qualifications.
5 days in Snowdonia with a Mountain Theme. This is suitable as a Gold DofE Residential
9am Monday to 5pm Friday. Based in Llanberis or Bethesda

2 Days Mountain Walking covering all parts of the Mountain Training Mountain Skills syllabus and successful completion will lead to certification.
1 Days Scrambling - Ratio 1 : 2 or 1 : 3
2 Days Rock Climbing - Usually Multi-pitch - Ratio 1 : 2 covering all parts of the Mountain Training Rock Skills (Intermediate) syllabus and successful completion will lead to certification.
All our instructors for this week will hold the Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor qualification which covers all aspects of Rock Climbing and Mountaineering in summer conditions in the UK.
